Todd Mueckenheim aka Skippy Dynamite

Todd has been training martial arts since the age of six, starting with taekwondo for most of his youth. In high school, he took up wrestling which was a pivotal life-changing moment, one that would influence and shape his future career.

Not only was wrestling one of the toughest experiences of his life, it inevitably led to the discovery of the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu which was where the nickname "Skippy Dynamite" was born.

Known for his explosive strength in combat and joyous attitude in life, Skippy Dynamite is the embodiment of his nature as a human being and competitive athlete. Everywhere he goes, he tries to instill a positive mentality in those he meets.

This path of Martial Arts led to formal training in Health and Fitness. In 2014 he began working at UFC Gym Long Island in New Hyde Park as Jiu-Jitsu instructor and certified personal trainer.

After discovering Functional Patterns in 2018, Todd found a methodology that aligned perfectly with his philosophy of movement and health. He became certified in Human Foundations in 2021 and received his HBS1 certification in March 2022, officially becoming a Functional Patterns trainer.

Today, Todd helps clients across Long Island (Nassau and Suffolk counties) and beyond achieve pain-free movement and optimal function through the Functional Patterns methodology.

My Journey

The path that led me to becoming a Functional Patterns practitioner and movement specialist.

Childhood

Martial Arts Beginnings

Started training in taekwondo at age six, developing discipline and a passion for martial arts that would shape my future.

High School

Wrestling Experience

Joined the wrestling team, a pivotal life-changing experience that taught me perseverance and laid the foundation for my athletic career.

2014

UFC Gym & Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Began working as a Jiu-Jitsu instructor and certified personal trainer at UFC Gym Long Island in New Hyde Park, where the nickname "Skippy Dynamite" was born.

2018

Functional Patterns Discovery

Began my journey with Functional Patterns, discovering a revolutionary approach to movement and health that aligned with my philosophy.

2021

Human Foundations Certification

Completed the Functional Patterns Human Foundations course, deepening my understanding of biomechanics and human movement optimization.

2022

HBS1 Certification

Received my HBS1 certification in March 2022, officially becoming a certified Functional Patterns trainer authorized to help others transform their movement.

Serving Long Island

Currently providing Functional Patterns training throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties, helping clients achieve pain-free movement and optimal function.
